Virginmobile is trying to get your money! be careful! you get a 1000 minutes card for 50$ thinking that you will have these minutes by entering the pin number but NOOOO! there is another step you need to follow. you have to pick voice minute package which is not among any of the instructions. if you do not pick that plan, you are paying 20 cents a minute. You call them and they do NOTHING about it (except giving you 15 extra minutes -it is like a joke!).
The customer service people are extremely rude and they even hang up on me! they also threaten you by saying that your call is monitored?!?!
Never ever use their services for especially pay as you go phones... I would give them 0 or negative starts if I could...

Comment: Go with Ampd Mobile instead. Their prepaid service is AWESOME! Their phones are way better than what Virgin Mobile has too.
They have the JET, ANGEL, and the HOLLYWOOD. THEY will be coming out with the RAZR and the MOTOROLA Q pretty soon too.
Their prepaid service is far better than VM.
Rate= 10 cents per minutes anytime anywhere.
Wireless web access is free unless you download. This is not WAP. You can actually surf the web like you do on your computer and its FREE.

Summary: Get the best Prepaid company!
Comment: I've had 3 prepaid phones. TracFone, completely horrible. Never think of buying it! T-Mobile, pay too much for your minutes. (okay if you want a nice phone, and only for emergencies) And last Virgin Mobile, the BEST one. They are mostly month-2-month. Basically you buy a phone card every 30 days. Their plans can go to (lowest) $15/month with 100 minutes, to (highest) $60/month with 600 minutes and unlimited nights and weekends. They also offer plans between them. Virgin Mobile is almost like any other cell phone company except its all prepaid. You can chose the plan, you can chose texting plans, AND nights are from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Thats 3 extra hours compared to the nights starting at 9 and ending at 6. Of course, that extra early hour may not be useful to some people, but then again, it could. You are never held to any contract. And almost everything can be done online! Activating phone, adding air time, changing your plan. And when adding phone cards to your account, you don't have to call a number. You can do it right on your phone! I have put a lot research into virgin mobile, and come to the conclusion, its pretty great for a prepaid cell phone company. Summary: I would give negative stars if I could.
Comment: Do NOT do business with these people. They charge you out the nose for their service, then they have all these rules and such to basically charge you for things you are not using, then refuse to pay you back. These jerks are taking advantage of kids, teenagers, and young people who can't afford a regular cell phone. I am on a mission to tell people how bad this is. Keep it in mind before you buy any of their products.

Summary: Virgin Mobile is the worst
Comment: I too bought a $50 Top-up card for my daughter for Christmas. When she needed to top up in March, she was told the card had expired. There was NO expiration date anywhere on the card or the material attached to the card. Multiple calls to customer service resulted in no help. Virgin Mobile resolutely REFUSES to honor a Top-up card that it says has expired. You are just ripped off. Asked how they knew it had expired, since there was no expiration date on it, they said it is in the Top-up code, which means they can say ANY card is expired. DON'T BUY THESE CARDS, THEY ARE WORTHLESS.
