Summary: A good sounding, must have for being out in it
Comment: I use this with my Motorola K1 (KRZR)and spend quite a bit of time sea kayaking, off-road driving, and at the beach with my daughter all in Southern California. I bought it to keep water, dust and sand away from my phone. I put the phone in a Pelican case (airtight, waterproof).
Sound volume is more than adequate and is the first headset (or handset for that matter) I've not had the volume constantly maximized. The mic also works with good sound quality. Occasionally after the headset has gotten wet, people on the other end say it sounds like I'm speaking into a plastic bottle. This is ONLY when it has gotten wet and NOT every time it gets wet, either. After a few hours of drying, the mic sound quality returns.
The headset comes with an impressive set of charging options including a car cigarette lighter adapter to USB. I charge mine using a USB port on my notebook PC. There are also two around the ear "rings" that didn't work for me but I can see how they'd work for others. I use the over-the-ear clip with the ear bud inserted in my ear.
Compared to the Motorola HS850, the Bluetrek X2 substantially under performs in both mic and audio quality. It is an easy trade for me though. I'd rate the Motorola HS850 5 stars to the Bluetrek X2 4, but the HS850 is also always at home -- safe from the elements. I recently lost my Bluetrek X2 and am replacing it. I can't say I'd do the same if I lost my Motorola HS850.

Comment: I just got this headset today, I have it paired with my Blackberry 8320 Curve....So for it's awsome!! sound quality is there, for both me and the other person on the line. No problems as of yet, I'll post again if feelings change.

Comment: I bought this product last year to go with my MoroRazr and later with Krazr.
First of all, the positives.
This has an amazing battery life. For me, it used to run for more than a week, generally 10 days between charge.
Being water resistent and shock resistent, it reduces a lot of worry about dropping it at wrong places. And i have dropped mine at places I shouldn't have.
The high usage rings (apart from the normal ear curve) are good performing and available in two sizes to fit different ears.
Well, the positives stops at that. Now the reality.
Everytime I turn it off, the next time i turn it on, sound is reset to min level. That means I need to increase the volume everytime I turn it on.
Everytime, I leave it on at night and set an alarm on my mobile, it disconnects when the alarm rings and turns off after some time
The sound is fine but mic is of average quality. My friends have told me the disturbance they get when I am using the headset. This is even when I am in office in a totally silent environment. The complaints go away if I use my phone. I am not expecting the same voice quality as directly using my handset but would like better than what is offered.
The installation manual is as useful to a human as it would be to a dog.
I think that summarizes it. I would recommend this product to someone who is specifically looking for ruggedness and long battery life and don't use his/her mobile phone as an alarm. Else, stay away.

Summary: Bluetrek or just Blue
Comment: I haven't used many blue-tooth items, I just know what works and what doesn't work. This item, while it works, it doesn't work WELL. If it worked well, I would be using it all the time. It DOES drop calls in the middle of the conversation. I have had it do this numerous times. And the other end cannot understand me all the time like a corded earpiece. The ear bud, while OK, but if it is not in all the way, I have trouble hearing the other party.
But it does work. Easy to set up. And it fits my ear OK. Out of all the ones I tried, it was the best. I just think there should be something better, out there somewhere.
