Customer Rating: Summary: HORRIBLY uncomfortable, great features Comment: This thing is so uncomfortable, I tried selling it and noone that tries it will buy it! Love the functionality, battery time, features, etc but is so horribly uncomfortable I can't use it for more than a few minutes. Trying to modify it, but so far no luck. What were they thinking? Read review about how bad it fits before buying! No more Jabra for me just because of being so uncomfortable!
Customer Rating: Summary: Worked fine but didn't fit me Comment: This bluetooth actualy worked fine, but would not stay placed properly on my ears when I moved around. I needed something to use for stereo while at the gym. I have gone through over the ear, in the ear and on the head bluetooths. The on the head Cardo S2, stayed on my head well, but broke next to the ear with in a month. The in ear canal and over the ear didn't stay in place to my liking. I actual had to spend some money to get ear molds made for the Plantronics 855. It was a fairly expensive solution to my stereo needs. But for the way my head and ear canals are shaped, it seemed to be my only solution. If these fit your ears you should be happy with them.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good concept, not so good implementation Comment: I used this bluetooth stereo heads set for a couple of months, before both ear loops broke, and was unable to use it anymore.
PROS:
- They sound good for being bluetooth (I would say like a low quality wired head phones)
- Multi point technology lets you pair with more than one device (at least in theory)
- Separate second ear piece, so if you are just making calls, you can use only the main ear piece.
- The ear loops are flexible, so you can adjust them however you feel more comfortable.
- Battery has good duration.
- Screen on main device let you get caller id, and you can have a 40 entry phone book on it, so you can dial from the headset, without touching your phone.
- It comes with software with which you can sync the address book on the phone, and do firmware upgrades on the headset.
CONS:
- Flimsy construction. Ear loops broke on me, after about 3 months usage.
- The multipoint technology does not work that well: I tried pairing my laptop and cell phone (A1200 first, then HTC touch), so I could listen to music from my laptop, and if a call came in on the cell phone, I could take the call on the headset. With the A1200 it never worked, as it only stayed paired with either laptop or cell. With the HTC touch, it paired with both of them, I could listen to music, if a call came in, I could take the call, but it never reverted back to the laptop, I had to repair them all over again. So, good concept, bad implementation.
- Cable that connects main and secondary head sets is kind of annoying.
I'm not sure if this is a con, or pro, depends on each person, but you look like a freakin' robot when you're wearing both earpieces.
In general, interesting product, but could really use some improvements.
Customer Rating: Summary: Bluetooth Comment: Great sound, specialy in stereo mode with 2 headphones on.
Very convinient and easy to use.
I love it.
Customer Rating: Summary: I feel that the Jabra BT8010 is absolutely worthless!!!!! Comment: The first BT8010 had very bad microphone pickup quality. (people who I spoke to on the phone could not understand me), had no volume, and the sound quality of the Blue Tooth Stereo speakers was worse than an AM Radio station. So, I sent it back to Jabra for an exchange. The replacement had much better microphone sound pickup quality but the Stereo Headset sound was again, no good at all. I have a Nokia 6265i.
I also paired it with a Motorolla Razor phone and heard no music at all.
Unfortunately, the earpiece is very awkward to put on, because the plastic "over the ear piece" keeps falling out or is hard to get into position. Once I had it on, the circumference of the ear bud that fits into the ear is so large that it causes pain if wearing it for more than 10 minutes. It is great for people with extra large ears though.
To summarize, I am very dissapointed with this particular headset but I am eager to try another kind if they make one that has good, strong stereo sound, is easy to put on, and does not hurt the ears.
