Designed for business travelers who want to stay productive while on the road, the SCH-i830 is powered by Windows Mobile 2003 (Pocket PC 2nd edition), which enables you to work on documents and spreadsheets with the Pocket versions of Word and Excel, access the Web with Internet Explorer, and send email via Outlook. It also includes the Picsel Browser application, enabling you to view PowerPoint slides as PDFs and images.
The SCH-i830 allows international travelers to keep one phone and one phone number almost anywhere they go via its dual mode, CDMA/GSM functionality (850/1900 MHz CDMA, 900/1800 MHz GSM). Because GSM networks in the United States operate on 850/1900 MHz frequencies, you'll only be able to access GSM networks when out of the country (such as in Europe and Asia).
The large 2.8-inch touchscreen offers a 240 x 320-pixel resolution with 65K colors, and it's supplemented by a five-way navigation toggle, send/end keys, and four customizable shortcut keys.
