Customer Rating: Summary: I'll Never Drop My Phone Again! Comment: I checked this out at the Apple Store in the mall, but it was nearly twice the price (w/tax) as what I paid at Amazon. It's a great case with a smooth, non-rubbery, feel. The cross-hatched design is easy on the fingers, but allows the phone to feel sure-handed whenever I'm holding it. No more phone-dropsy!
The really great thing about the Speck case is that it allows my i-Phone 3g to fit perfectly and snugly into the leather Palm holster case I'd bought for my Treo 700p shortly before I switched to the i-Phone. I didn't see any holster-type cases I liked for the i-Phone, so you can imagine how happy I was to find that I could use the Palm case with ideal results. So, if you're going to buy this Speck product, consider how well it might fit into other brands' holster cases. Customer Rating: Summary: Great case, unique design Comment: I purchased this case right after I dropped my iPhone3G. This case resolve the issue where the iPhone lack sufficient grip and gets smeared all over from the slightest touch. The case fits perfectly and allow excellent access the touchscreen, headphone jacks, power/sleep button, home button, and the silent on/off switch on the side. The material is soft and provides adequate grip and cushion for the average bumps the phone might experience.
I would recommend it to anyone who wants a handy case that does not clip to their belts. I am still happy and I have had this case for several weeks now. I've dropped my phone a couple of times and it was well protected by this cover. I gave it 4 stars because certain larger jacks don't fit the head phone jack. Also it doesn't come with a screen protector. I purchased one separately and they work beautifully together. I also like the fact that it is fully functional with the cover on. The case does not have a sticky, rubbery feel that many people find objectionable in this type of case. You feel like you have a good grip without stickiness.
I deducted 1-star because the case does NOT include a screen protector which I think should be standard. Also, the opening for the headphone port is a bit small and might be problematic for larger mini-plugs. The plug for my earbuds fits perfectly, but the plug I use to hook my iPhone to my auxiliary port in my car is a bit snug.
Overall, I am quite happy with this case and can recommend it to others!!
