Comment: This phone cover is my favorite for the iphone 3g. I've bought about 4 covers and so far this is my favorite. Mainly because of the product's durability. The material does not get dirty as stated in the product's description and the plastic cover is easy to use. I would recommend always putting the plastic on the provided space on the back of the cover. It is designed to hold the plastic cover and I had to quickly form the habit of immediately placing it there: it is easy to misplace it or leave it at home, etc... The only thing I would change would be to make it clip accessable.

Summary: Good Protection
Comment: This is my second iSkin Revo. The first one was for the original iPhone. I can't tell you how pleased I was with the original version. Now that I have received the new version for the iPhone 3G, it seems that the standards have been kept by iSkin.
First, the cons:
- Thick and rubbery. While at first, the rubber is tolerable when pulling the phone out of a pocket or bag, after a while, the coating on the rubber wears off and it can be a pain to pull the phone out when you need to use it.
- On the original revo, the headphone cap started to break down over time and rip itself away from the body of the case. This newer version seems to have a sturdier headphone jack cover but only time will tell.
- The hard removable screen cover can be lost easily. As the iPhone 3G is contoured on the back but not on the front, the hard faceplate when secured to the back can fall off very easily as it fits unnaturally on the back. Take caution when placing it on the back as after only 5 minutes I noticed how easy it is to bump off.
The pros on the other hand are far more numerous than the cons:
- Sturdy build but not too large. The rubber casing is so protective that multiple drops to asphalt and concrete from chest height does nothing to the phone or even the exterior of the case.
- The new version has rubber surrounding the ear speaker, but is still able to allow the proximity sensor to function normally. This helps as in the old version, the area around the ear speaker was open and would sometimes accumulate dirt, grease and grime from constant phone use.
- The headphone jack cover now not only covers the jack but has a little rubber plug molded into it that seats itself into the jack proving a more secure seal.
- The screen lock and volume buttons are still just as protected. They are protected so well that at times it is a bit difficult to depress the buttons. Something that takes a little time getting used to.
- No more camera lens cover. The old version had this stupid camera lens cover that would scratch easily and would acquire dirt and grime very quickly. It was able to be removed but the notches that it sat in would still acquire crap. No longer does this exist as there is jut a nice, smooth hole for the camera lens to shoot through (not like it matters as the iPhone's camera sucks).
- The dock connector is now better protected as the cover for it is no longer removable. The dock connector cover is a flap very similar to the headphone jack's and it has the same little molded inset so it sits better in the dock connector, protecting it from dirt as well as trauma.
- Last but not least is the non-adhesive screen cover. Those who purchased the original revo know all about how the "privacy" film that was included made your phone's screen invisible from off angles but it also added a significant amount of bulk and filtering to the screen, lowering it's brightness and touch sensitivity. The new film is no longer privacy film and is about half the thickness as the original. I noticed no difference with or without it in regards to touch sensitivity but I did notice a mild dampening of the native brightness (which was nothing compared to the original film).
iSkin has made some significant improvements for the better with their second version of the revo. All-in-all, this is a must have case for anyone who is a heavy user of their iPhone. It is well worth the money, and if you look here on Amazon, you can find it for $10 or more dollars below the MSRP.
